The automated plant phenotyping system is designed for plants reaching a maximum size of 100 cm in height with throughput up to 176 trays corresponding to 3520 plants with 5 × 4 pots per tray set-up or 352 plants with 2 × 1 tray type. The phenotyping system is suitable for measuring from small to larger scale plants from the top view and in case of RGB Morphometric imaging unit also from the side view. Plants are cultivated in the growing buffer system and transported inside and between the adaptation tunnel and rating area with imaging station.

Capacity for high throughput phenotyping of up to 1800 plants in standardized 5 × 4 trays. The system incorporates different instruments for imaging of plant morphometric and physiological parameters on the robotic XYZ arm. The XYZ robotic arm carries sensors for chlorophyll fluorescence imaging, RGB morphometric imaging and 3D scanning and 3D model reconstruction directly to the plants. Plant positions are easily defined in the software and movement of the XYZ robotic arm towards the selected plants is done automatically. The system is installed in the FytoScope controlled climate chamber and is moving above the special plant growing tables.
